Sankalp Nethralaya and Polyclinic has been started by Dr. Vinay Patil, a graduate from MR Medical College, Gulbarga and a post graduate from JN Medical College Belgaum. Post this he did his fellowship at Arvind Eye Hospital- Madurai to acquire skills in cataract, IOLs and Diabetic Retinopathy.

He started his career as a consultant at Narayana Nethralaya and subsequqently went on to teach for some time at the Dr. Ambedkar Medical College. He has operated on more than 5000 patients successfully and is known for his diagnostic and surgical skills in complex cases. He is now a full time consultant at Sankalp Nethralaya and is striving to bring about a change in the eye care fraternity.
